The Town Council jointly manages Parc Howard in partnership with Carmarthenshire County Council through the Parc Howard Collaboration Group. This partnership ensures the facility is improved and remains in public ownership.
The Council provides allotment gardens at Coronation Road and Sunninghill Terrace, these are extremely popular and there is a substantial waiting list.
The Town Council undertakes an inspection and trashing programme, and a dog faeces pick up programme on footpaths in the area.
Sail Training Voyages
Each year the Council provides funding for up to 4 young people, aged between 12 and 25, who reside within the Town Council’s area to take part in a week long educational voyage aboard one of the Tall Ships provided by the Sail Training Association. This presents an exciting opportunity to those involved and feedback confirms that it is an experience which is greatly valued. For information regarding opportunities in 2019 please contact the Town Council offices on Tel: 01554 774352.
