The Town Council has been the owner of Stebonheath
Park since 1977. It has been used as a local football ground since 1920
and is the home of Llanelli
A.F.C.and Llanelli Amateur Athletic Club.
Since it was
bought, the Council has undertaken major improvements, and the redveloped
ground now has floodlighting, a 700 seat modern grandstand, new spectator
terracing, a superb function room for use by match sponsors, a refreshment
kiosk for spectators, social club and a television gantry and studio,
making it arguably the best non-league football venue in the Principality.
It also has a range of all weather athletic training facilities for use
by the Athletic Club.
